INDY 500????? NOT! Residents are reminded that the 25 MPH speed limit applies to all BHV roads. While Barton Shore Drive from the Village Green to the Lower Gate looks like a great straightaway after all those curves, please keep the speed (and noise) within the limit to protect the safety of everyone. Thank you.
GLASS RECYCLING Our recycling vendor no longer requires separation of glass, so you can return to putting glass in the mixed containers section of the big green bin.
KEEP PET WASTE OUT OF OUR WATER.
Pets and urban wildlife are major sources of water contamination. Waste washing into the waterways contains nitrogen and phosphorus which deplete oxygen and encourage harmful algae growth, as well as fecal coliform bacteria, which can spread diseases like Giardia, Salmonella, and Campylobacter, causing serious illness in humans.
Be prepared—have bags in your pocket, on your leash, at the back door…anywhere that will remind you to take them. Carry a mini flashlight for nightime walks. Have extra bags to share.
Make your dog proud. Scoop your pet’s poop, bag it, and pitch it in the trash every time!
