The meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was called to order by President Boddie at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall.

 

ROLL CALL     Present:  Trustees Al-Awar, Boddie, Borel, Butterwick, Langford, MacKrell and van der Velde.  Absent: Trustees Benson and Izenberg.

Others attending:  ZPA Perry, Asst. Treasurer King, Supt. Esch, project applicants and one resident with guest.

 

APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE     326 Juniper Lane

Public Hearing  The public hearing on this application was convened at 6:00 PM.

There being no comments from the public, the hearing was closed at 6:01 PM.

 

BZA Discussion

The applicants seek to construct an addition to the kitchen area and expand the garage to accommodate three vehicles.  One comment was received from neighbors in support of the project (written—312 Juniper Lane).

Motion  Variance was granted:

–from Section 9.02(b) of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow alteration of a nonconforming structure at 326 Juniper Lane;

from Section 5.03(c) of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction in the set back for a kitchen addition at 326 Juniper Lane; and

–from Section 5.03(c) of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction in the set back for garage expansion at 326 Juniper Lane. (Al-Awar/Butterwick/P)
