The meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) was called to order by President Laporte at 6:02 PM at the Village Hall.

 

ROLL CALL     Present:  Trustees Al-Awar, Boddie, Bogat, Butterwick, Langford, Laporte, Lindstrom, MacKrell and Wilkes.  Absent: None.

Others attending:  Atty. Reading, ZPA Perry, Asst. Treas. Redies, Supt. Esch and BHMC President Bultman.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES     Mrs. Langford moved that the minutes of the November 12, 2007 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting be approved as printed.  Mr. Wilkes seconded;  the motion carried.

 

APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE    312 Juniper Lane

 

Mr. Perry reported that based on the guidance from the Board given at the November 12, 2007 BZA meeting he received quotes from applicants Paul and Karen Izenberg regarding cost of rebuilding vs. cost of replacement.  Mr. Perry determined that the structure had not been more than 50% by cost destroyed (cost of rebuilding was 48% compared with cost of replacement;  calculations confirmed by a Trustee via email) and approved the boathouse as a continuing non-conforming structure.  There being no need for variances, the Izenbergs withdrew their application.

Motion  Mr. Wilkes moved it be duly noted that the application submitted by Paul and Karen Izenberg (312 Juniper Lane) concerning their boathouse (tabled at the November 12, 2007 BZA meeting) has been withdrawn.  Mr. Al-Awar seconded;  the motion carried.

 

NEW BUSINESS     None.

 

Mr. Boddie moved the meeting be adjourned at 6:07 PM.  Mr. Lindstrom seconded;  the motion carried.
