The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by President Boddie at 6:00 PM at Walter Esch Hall.
ROLL CALL Present: Trustees Al-Awar, Benson, Boddie, Butterwick, MacKrell, Popp and Smith. Absent: Trustees Langford and Torres.
Others attending: Atty. Maynes, ZA Perry, Supt. Hnatow, BHMC President Curtner, the applicant, one guest and twelve residents.
APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE 304 Juniper Lane
Project Presentation (ZA Perry) Variance is requested for resetting of time limits regarding three previously approved variances. Applicant Robert Cell had not begun any work before the one year expiration date due to personal circumstances, but is now ready to proceed with the project.
Public Hearing The Public Hearing was convened at 6:02 PM. No public comment was given. The hearing was closed at 6:03 PM.
Discussion/Decision The resetting of time limits will allow the project to move forward without having to start the review process from the beginning. ZA Perry will review the construction drawings when they are received to make sure there have been no significant changes to the plans originally approved.
Motion Request for variance from Section 10.04 A(4) of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to reset the expiration date to March 12, 2019 for the following previously approved variances was approved:
1) Variance from Section 4.08 of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction of a pergola in the side set back (approved 6/13/16).
2) Variance from Section 4.08 of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction resulting in a total structure height greater than 40 feet (approved 7/11/16).
3) Variance from Section 4.08 of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction of a garage in the side set back according to plans dated 10/10/16 (approved 12/12/16). (Al-Awar/Butterwick/P)
