BARTON HILLS VILLAGE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
December 13, 2012
The regular meeting of the BHV Planning Commission was called to order by Chair Laura Weingartner at 6:30 PM at the Village Hall.
ROLL CALL Present: Commissioners Curtner, CMacKrell, JMacKrell, Richards, Wallace, Weingartner and Zoldan. Absent: None. Others present: ZPA Perry.
PUBLIC COMMENT None.
MINUTES The minutes of the October 10, 2012 meeting were approved as printed. (Richards/Wallace/P unanimously)
COMMUNICATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS None.
REPORTS None.
NEW BUSINESS The 2013 meeting schedule was set as: January 22, April 23, July 23 and October 22. All meeting will begin at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall. Mr. Curtner arrived
UNFINISHED BUSINESS Zoning Ordinance (draft dated 12/10/12)
–Process from here: Randy will make any changes indicated as a result of this meeting. The draft will be sent to the consultant and to the BHV Board of Trustees for informal review. Comments will be discussed at the January 22, 2013 Planning Commission meeting. A public hearing date will be set by the Planning Commission. Following the public hearing the Planning Commission may make changes as needed. When the ordinance is approved by the Planning Commission, it will be recommended to the Board of Trustees.
–Lot width. Leave as stated in this draft (150’ of front width, one acre minimum).
–Walls/fences. Regulate walls and fences over 18” in height. Board of Trustees permit not required.
–Site plan review (non-residential and residential over 10,000 square feet). Review is conducted by the Planning Commission. Appeals can be made to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
