The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by President Boddie at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall.
ROLL CALL Present: Trustees Al-Awar, Benson, Boddie, Butterwick, Izenberg, Langford, MacKrell and van der Velde. Absent: None. Recused: Trustee Borel.
Others attending: ZA Perry, Asst. Treasurer King, Supt. Esch, BHMC President MacKrell, two project applicants, project architect and two neighbors of the applicants.
APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE 740 Spring Valley Road
Discussion
Variance from Section 4.08 of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance is sought by the applicants to allow construction in the side setback. ZA Perry noted that the existing house is a grandfathered nonconforming structure. The neighbors present did not support approval of the variance. Since preliminary discussion indicated the applicants and the neighbors wish to discuss the project, the ZBA was adjourned to the next regular meeting date (March 9, 2015) without convening the public hearing.
