PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

 

July 19, 2022

 

 

The regular meeting of the BHV Planning Commission was called to order by Chair Caldwell at Walter Esch Hall at 6:06 PM.

 

ROLL CALL     Present:  Commissioners Caldwell, Hanley, MacKrell, Richards, Wallace and Weingartner.  Absent:  Commissioner Hensinger.
Others present: Randy Perry, Dennis Capozza.

 

MINUTES     The minutes of the April 12, 2022 meeting were approved as printed. (Weingartner/Hanley/P with Richards abstain) 

 

PUBLIC COMMENT     None.

 

COMMUNICATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS     None.

 

REPORTS     None.

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

Master Plan 5-Year Review     The BHV Board of Trustees approved the Master Plan for distribution at their June 13, 2022 meeting.  Mrs. Esch is working on the final edit (format), which will be circulated to the Planning Commission.  Assuming there are no further changes, the amended Master Plan was approved for distribution as required, and a public hearing set for the regular meeting date of October 11, 2022.  (Caldwell/Weingartner/P unanimously)

 

Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)   The ADU report was accepted by the BHV Trustees at their May 9, 2022 meeting, then sent on to the BHMC Board of Directors for comment.  The BHMC Board at their July 5, 2022 meeting formed a subcommittee to report to the full board at their August 2, 2022 meeting, after which a reply will be sent by the BHMC Board to the BHV Trustees and the Planning Commission.      Wallace arrived

 

Tree Regulation     Following discussion on the advantages and challenges of tree regulation, Mr. Wallace offered to develop a draft ordinance for consideration at the October 11, 2022 Planning Commission meeting.

 

Steep Slopes     Mr. Hensinger will be asked if he can have a draft ordinance on this topic ready for discussion at the October 11, 2022 meeting.
