The meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was called to order by President Boddie at 6:01 PM at the Village Hall.

 

ROLL CALL     Present:  Trustees Benson, Boddie, Borel, Butterwick, Langford, MacKrell and van der Velde.  Absent: Trustees Al-Awar and Izenberg.

Others attending:  ZPA Perry, Asst. Treasurer King, Supt. Esch, applicant Marc Weiser and two residents.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES     Minutes of the July 11, 2011 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting were approved as printed.  (MacKrell/Butterwick/P)

 

APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE     530 Hillspur Road

Public Hearing  The public hearing on this application was convened at 6:02 PM.

There being no comments from the public, the hearing was closed at 6:03 PM.

 

BZA Discussion

The construction of a new garage with three stalls at this address has already been approved for BHV zoning and BHMC architectural review.  The variance application seeks to add two more stalls in the lower level of the addition within the approved footprint.

Motion  Variance was granted from Section 5.01(b)(1) of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction of garage space for five vehicles at 530 Hillspur Road.  (Borel/Butterwick/P)
