The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by President Boddie at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall.

 

ROLL CALL     Present:  Trustees Al-Awar, Benson, Boddie, Borel, Butterwick, Izenberg, Langford and van der Velde.  Absent: Trustee MacKrell.

Others attending:  Asst. Treasurer King, BHMC President Legacki, Hnatow (staff), project applicant, seven residents and one guest.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES     Minutes of the February 8, 2016 and March 14, 2016 Zoning Board of Appeals meetings were approved as printed.  (Butterwick/Al-Awar/P)

 

APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE     315 Corrie Road

 

Project Presentation     (JEsch for ZA Perry)  Variance is requested for construction of an attached garage in front of the front line of the house.  Dimensional variance (practical difficulty) criteria include degree of encroachment, impact on neighbors and support of purposes of the BHV Zoning Ordinance and Master Plan.

 

Public Hearing     The Public Hearing was convened at 6:01 PM.  No verbal public comment was given.  Neighbors were given notice as required;  one written public comment was submitted by neighbors at 281 Corrie Road who support the application.  The hearing was closed at 6:01 PM.

 

Discussion     There were no comments from the Board.

 

Motion     Variance from Section 5.07 A(1) of the Barton Hills Village Zoning Ordinance to allow construction of an attached garage in front of the front line of the house at 315 Corrie Road was approved.  (Borel/Butterwick/P)
