PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
February 22, 2022
The regular meeting of the BHV Planning Commission was called to order by Chair Weingartner at Walter Esch Hall at 6:04 PM.
ROLL CALL Present: Commissioners Caldwell, Hanley, Hensinger, Richards and Weingartner. Absent: Commissioners MacKrell and Wallace.
Others present: Randy Perry.
ORGANIZATION Officers were elected for 2022:
Chair Walter Caldwell (Weingartner/Richards/P unanimously)
Vice Chair Laura Weingartner (Hensinger/Hanley/P unanimously)
Secretary John MacKrell (Weingartner/Richards/P unanimously)
Meeting dates were set for 2022: (February 22), April 12, July 12, October 11
PUBLIC COMMENT None.
MINUTES The minutes of the October 12, 2021 meeting were approved as printed. (Richards/Hensinger/P unanimously)
COMMUNICATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS None.
REPORTS None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Master Plan 5-Year Review Mr. Hensinger will complete his draft of the changes suggested to date, including language concerning climate resiliency and solar. The Commissioners were encouraged to send their comments/suggestions to Mr. Hensinger for inclusion in the draft, which will then be distributed to the group for study prior to the next meeting.
Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) Mr. Caldwell and Mr. Hanley will work with Ms. Weingartner on the task assigned by the BHV Trustees to the Planning Commission regarding ADUs. Since this task has a timeline of eight months (due for April 11, 2022 Trustees meeting), it may be necessary to call a special Planning Commission meeting to complete the assignment.
Other topics previously discussed include trees, steep slopes, dark skies and stormwater.
