SECURITY     Security cameras are now up and running at the Upper Entrance and the West Entrance.  The camera at the Lower Entrance is installed, but needs some extra electrical work that will be done as soon as weather permits.  The cameras record roads/traffic (no residences) for security purposes only.

REMINDER    Dogs must be on leashes (not chasing runners, scaring pedestrians or being in danger from vehicles)!  Dog owners must be cleaning up dog poop and disposing of it properly.

SOLAR INFORMATION   Have you been thinking about installing solar panels for your house?  The BHV Climate Resilience Subcommittee has learned of a “group buy” opportunity for solar installations offered by the Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations that may include discounts and tax credits.  For more information, contact Sharon Popp (BHV Climate Resilience Subcommittee Chair) at sharon.popp@gmail.com or 734-761-8570.

PROJECT REMINDERS     As Spring arrives, please keep in mind that approval is required for all structures, including:

–new construction and alterations to existing structures

–landscape features

–fences and retaining walls greater than 18” high

–accessory buildings (garage, garden shed, gazebo, etc.)

–excavation other than common household gardening/ground care

–playground equipment                     –stairways/patio enclosures

–exterior lighting                               –generators/AC equipment

–outdoor swimming pools                 –parking areas

–solar/wind energy structures            –satellite antennas

 

When having work done, please note that:
–provider vehicles may not block roads/driveways
–working hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM – 6 PM
–work sites must be kept neat/clean

–rubbish removal is the responsibility of your contractor
–tree removal other than dead/dying and invasive species requires review
–lot lines must be marked before work begins.

CONTROLLED BURN SEASON     Ann Arbor City Natural Area Preservation may be conducting ecological controlled burns in parks/nature areas near BHV.  These events are weather dependent, and may happen between 11 AM and 7 PM between February 17 and May 28, 2022.  For more information visit the website www.a2gov.org/NAPBurn or call 734-794-6627.
