ZONING ADMINISTRATOR OPEN POSITION After 24 years of excellent service as BHV Zoning Administrator, Randy Perry is stepping down from this volunteer position. In addition to review of all new construction, additions, remodeling projects, fences, walls, and any other projects covered by the BHV Zoning Ordinance, the Zoning Administrator also assists the Planning Commission in their review of large projects and in keeping the Zoning Ordinance relevant/up to date. Training materials and other resources are available for this appointed position. Residents who have an interest in serving as Zoning Administrator should contact President Benson (lindabenson22@gmail.com; 734-761-5006).
PLANNING COMMISSION The Planning Commission meeting scheduled for December 14, 2021 has been cancelled. The next meeting of the Commission is set for Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 6:00 PM on Zoom. The Commissioners are discussing update of the Master Plan and related ordinances. Zoom information:

HOLIDAY CAROLING Sunday, December 12, 2021 3:00-5:00 PM Village Green.
Join this casual, fun event that will begin at the Village Green and carry on to a few designated homes nearby. Families will be responsible for their kids/family members during the walk to the houses. All ages are welcome & festive attire is encouraged!

NEW EMPLOYEE WELCOME A warm welcome to new maintenance employee Derek Reeves who has joined the staff. Derek is experienced in water system operations, served 11 years in the Air Force as a plumber, and enjoys being outdoors. He lives with his wife and three children in Hamburg.
DEER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM Thank you for returning the form included with the Deer Management letter sent recently. It is very helpful to have resident input so plans can be made accordingly. Details of the program will be sent to every resident prior to any activity, most likely in early January but dependent on the weather.
HOLIDAY REMINDERS
–The BHV Security patrol will be keeping a close eye on homes, especially if residents are away. Contact Supt. Jeff Hnatow (734-368-7896) or the Village office (734-222-5209; bhvclerk@bartonhillsvillage.org) with specific dates if you will be out of town for more than a couple of days.
–Trash pick up will follow the normal schedule of Mondays December 20 and January 3.
